Recently, key Tax Reform regulations were approved by the Brazil’s lower house. Among them is the reduction of the Selective Tax on activities harmful to health and the environment, from 1% originally proposed to 0.25% in response to mining industry pressure. In an interview with BNAmericas, our partner, Paulo Honório, talks about how these regulations affect mining.
