Founding and managing partner of the law firm William Freire Advogados Associados, his law degree is from the Federal University of Minas Gerais. He is a professor of Mining Law and Environmental Law applied to Mining in several post-graduate courses, and the author of over 100 specialized articles.
William Freire is a speaker of international demand, and has taught at the Curso Internacional de Verano: Derecho de Minería, Medio Ambiente, Gestión Social e Uso de Recursos Hídricos em Actividades Mineras, at the Law School of the Universidade San Martin de Porres. Lima, Peru, in February 2011, in Chile and Argentina, and also to the members of the Ministry of Mines and Energy in Mozambique.
He is an arbiter of the Minas Gerais Chamber of Mediation and Arbitration – CAMINAS and Business Arbitration Chamber – BRASIL – CAMARB.
